Good morning peevers.

I hope that you all have a great weekend.

I have to say that I was gobsmacked (go google it! ) to receive an email yesterday that was promoting events for this Christmas!

That's got to be the earliest by far I have ever witnessed that!

Tell us about things you've seen, because the POTD is;

Advertising things ridiculously early.

It's absolutely disgusting how commercialized holidays are, like Christmas. Pretty soon they'll be running the ads year round

Good peeve, by the time the event comes around you're sick and tired of it and wish it would go away. Christmas advertising is probably the worst. And the political ads are right up there too.

Yeah from all that early advertising, by the time it rolls around, you're ready for it to end!

I mean Christmas stuff in April!

That email I got listed three Christmas events.

The other thing over here that is being done to death is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee which is in June.

Contrary to popular belief we don't all fawn over the Royal family.

The Christmas stuff doesn't bother me ~ I made myself get used to it.

What bugs the living Hell out of me are advertisements for summer clothes as early as February. I don't even like to see them on the racks that early, and for a reason: There's already the pressure to shop, and I've not begun to lose enough "winter weight" to merit buying clothes yet.
