Good morning peevers.

I've set up a thread in the Automobile section that is about car chases in movies. I'm a bit of a movie, and a car nut.

I'm also a bit of a stickler for accuracy and get annoyed at times, amused at others, when there are historical inaccuracies for example. Also I cited the car chase scene in Bullit on that thread as I've noticed at least three goofs in that chase. (Jeez, I'm sad! )

Don't even get me started on that TV series The Tudors!

Then there's inaccuracies on news and documentary programmes.

So, my dear peevers, let us know what annoys you in this field of interest, because the POTD is;

Inaccuracies and goofs on TV and film.

The goof in Bullitt was giving Steve McQueen a crap Mustang instead of a Bad *** Camaro to go up against that 440 Charger... Still the best chase scene in my opinion. They can have those San Francisco Roller Coaster streets though!

I don't know, there are pretty good car chases in the Bourne Trilogy!! I like being on the edge of my seat. When i see inaccuracies, they only bother me for a few seconds, then I let it go.

Sometimes I think the editors put the bloopers in to see if anyone is paying attention. When people start complaining then they know you're watching.
They don't annoy me, like Larksong I rather enjoy catching them.

Was just watching one of the Bond movies and of course there was a chase scene that was, well, so Bond. Sean Connery though can make all the goofs he wants

Same here, Lark. It's a fleeting moment of superiority!

I don't normally notice things like that, guess I get so engrossed in the movie or show that I just don't see them. But apparently there are a LOT of them and it would be fun to catch them and be able to point them out to producers and directors. I'm sure there are sites dedicated to just that.

I always get a chuckle with medical scenes and equipment that's either inappropriate or set up wrong. I swear they should hire me and pay me huge bucks to insure that it's done right. OK that delusional fantasy is over, but I do enjoy the bloopers at the end of the movies. I wish all movies had them.
