Good afternoon everybody from a coolish, but dry England. Thanks for the questions Miz Bookworm.
Now then. Yes, I am registered to vote. How many hmmm. The first one was the 1974 General Election, I have voted in about nine of those, plus every year in local elections. Our method of voting is a big X on a paper with a list of candidates.
My toothpaste is called 'ultrabright' and I clean my teeth morning and night.
I can't remember the name of my first grade teacher. I have a class group photo taken in 1958 that she is on. She is a very pretty young woman on it. I remember waiting outside the staff room. When she came out, I told her "I love you" - always had an eye for the ladies.
This day in 1945 was the dropping of the first atomic bomb huh? I guess we'll be arguing for many more years about if it was necessary. My wife's Uncle Tommy was a prisoner of the japanese. Many of his friends died in their careful custody. Plus the many thousands of American soldiers who died fighting them from island to island towards Japan. It is hard to guess how many more soldiers, and civilians would have died if an invasion of the Japanese mainland had gone ahead. Probably far more than the bomb killed. At least it brought an end to the horrific bloodshed.

This past Friday. I had to go to an Orthopaedic Surgeon for a knee problem I suffered 2 months ago when I was swept off a curb and fell hard during a very bad rainstorm. He drained fluid and gave me a cortisone shot. I feel much better. Hopefully I won't have to go back.

Are you registered to vote? Absolutely! I want to be able to complain if things don't go my way! And if I move, registration is the first thing I do after setting up new utility services.
If so, about how many elections do you think you’ve voted in? Every single one since I've been eligible. Not sure how many that is, and I'm too old to count it up.
Do you remember what the first election was in which you voted? Not really. Probably something municipal. I was just a few weeks shy of being eligible to vote in the presidential election in 1980.
What kind of voting machine is used where you live? Paper and pencil fill-in the oval. Then you slide it into a machine that counts it. Or so they say...

What was the name of your first-grade teacher? Which one? I had three. Mrs. Smith was the first one. She was "great with child" near the end of the year. When she took her leave, she was temporarily replaced with Miss Young. Mrs. Noel finished out the year.
Did you like him or her? I liked all of them just fine.
Who was your best friend in first grade? Sharrin
When was the last time you saw your first grade best friend? She moved two counties away in 5th grade, but we kept in touch, and she "fixed me up" with a friend of hers at her 16th birthday party. The last time we were in the same room was probably at her school's senior prom in 1981. We reconnected last year on FaceBook.
