Today’s Question(s):

What is your favorite go-to remedy for aches and pains?
Aspirin

When was the last time you had recourse to said remedy?
Just yesterday

Has your preferred remedy ever not worked for you?
Once in a while I get a headache that just does not respond to aspirin.

If so, how did you alleviate the pain?
Laid down for a while.

Extra Credit Question:

When you were a youngster, did you ever set up a lemonade stand?
I was never one to set up a lemonade stand

If so, did you at least make enough to cover your expenses?
If I had run a lemonade stand I probably would have drank more than I sold and would have ended up losing money.

Those who are parents, have your young ones ever tried being lemonade entrepreneurs?
As I have said before...No one calls me dad.

Have you ever bought a nice ice-cold cup of sweet-tart lemonade from a child on a hot summer day?
I have not.

My early teen years I listen to the Armed Forces Radio Network. It was the only radio station we could get.

What format of music did it play?
A little of everything

What music format does your current favorite radio station play?
60's and 70's rock

Today’s Question(s):

What is your favorite go-to remedy for aches and pains?
I like to get me a massage!

When was the last time you had recourse to said remedy?
Too Long - probably a year or so ago, but I see another one in my immediate future!

Has your preferred remedy ever not worked for you?
Yes - when I had a frozen shoulder nothing worked except time.

If so, how did you alleviate the pain?

Took pain killers sometimes and lived with it other times.

Extra Credit Question:

When you were a youngster, did you ever set up a lemonade stand?
Not lemonade, but we had hazelnuts and blackberries in our backyard in England, so we sometimes set up a stand to sell those (but ate most of them ourselves).

If so, did you at least make enough to cover your expenses?
I don't remember having any expenses!

Those who are parents, have your young ones ever tried being lemonade entrepreneurs?
Yes, my daughter and her friend around the corner set up stands quite often - but again not lemonade, but macadamia nuts from said friend's backyard.

Have you ever bought a nice ice-cold cup of sweet-tart lemonade from a child on a hot summer day?

Yes.

Bonus Question:

What radio station did you listen to as a teenager?
Radio London and Radio Caroline - pirate radio operated from ships in the North Sea.

What format of music did it play?
Pop, pop and more pop.

What music format does your current favorite radio station play?

I never listen to the radio these days. I can't stand talk radio, and if I want music I have about 500 CDs to choose from.

Today’s Question(s):

What is your favorite go-to remedy for aches and pains?

A back rub from Pierce Brosnan.

When was the last time you had recourse to said remedy?

Alas, only in my dreams...

Has your preferred remedy ever not worked for you?

Guess I'll never know....

If so, how did you alleviate the pain?

Well, a few glances at my real life hubby who is cuter than Pierce and better than Pierce and amused by my infatuation with Pierce and definitely more available than Pierce has been known to help.

Extra Credit Question:

When you were a youngster, did you ever set up a lemonade stand?

We actually made a little profit, which was donated to some local cause. We were big on marketing, and the neighbors were amused by our efforts.

If so, did you at least make enough to cover your expenses?

Those who are parents, have your young ones ever tried being lemonade entrepreneurs?

Nope. Not their style at all.

Have you ever bought a nice ice-cold cup of sweet-tart lemonade from a child on a hot summer day?

Absolutely! Every time I see a stand I try to make a point to stop.

Default Good jolly Monday to one and all!!!

[quote=MidwesternBookWorm;25717191]Good morning, all, and welcome to Monday! I hope your weekend was a good one, and that you are starting the week energized by the chance to recharge.

Thank you! My weekend was marvelous! I managed to get the front 4 acres mowed before the rains returned but also managed to get a nasty sunburn from my lack of forethought to put on sunscreen. Yeah, I know. A little restraint from my headlong rush to be outside and a bit of brain power would have made it a perfect weekend.

And what better way to charge our batteries than by starting the week with:

Today’s Question(s):

What is your favorite go-to remedy for aches and pains? Right now it is Burn relief spray with extra Aloe!!!!

When was the last time you had recourse to said remedy? About an hour ago.

Has your preferred remedy ever not worked for you? As often as I get myself sunburned, it has never let me down.

If so, how did you alleviate the pain? See above.

Extra Credit Question:

When you were a youngster, did you ever set up a lemonade stand? Every Sunner! I taught my kids to do it too! This was great, however, I had to draw the line when my son Nathan (six years old at the time) took it to the next level and started selling my cupcakes for the church bake sale. Yep, he was a true entrepreneur!

If so, did you at least make enough to cover your expenses? Not always. See above.

Those who are parents, have your young ones ever tried being lemonade entrepreneurs? Ummmm I believe I was a step ahead of this question.

Have you ever bought a nice ice-cold cup of sweet-tart lemonade from a child on a hot summer day? Yes I did. My kids charged me.

Bonus Question:

What radio station did you listen to as a teenager? Y103, the Greaseman!

What format of music did it play? Rock

What music format does your current favorite radio station play? Christain rock.

Favorite go to remedy for pain: My heating pad or having my Pit Bull cuddle up with me. I have arthritis in my lower back so on a particularly bad pain day, I lay down and Ms. Alice the Pit Bull jumps up and curls up against my lower back..ahhhhhhhh.
Last time I had recourse to pain remedy: As a matter of fact, Ms. Alice was curled up against my back just last night..sure saves on the electric bill and she is so comforting.
When was the last time remedy didn't work and what did I do: There is always a time when pain is frustrating and won't go away and that's when you kinda understand that sometimes things just ARE..and you grin and bear it. I have a permanent numbness in my left leg that was suppose to "go away" and it never has..the alternative..I am alive. Had an upper thoracic aneurysm, was put on a respirator that had a tube that went into my left leg..nerve damage. It just "IS THAT WAY" and I am alive to tell you all about it..that's the benefit.

Lemonade stand? Is the Pope Catholic?? Of course we had a lemonade stand, and a cake sale stand, cookie sale stand, kool aid stand. We would talke all our profits and give them to a different charity each time. I don't think we made over $10.00 but we sure had fun.
Have I ever bought some sweet-tart lemonade from a stand? Oh my goodness, yes. And it was beyond sweet and tart. The kids from down the road put a stand up right on the corner of my property so I HAD TO have some of that lip smackin, chin quivering, eye watering stuff! LOL

What radio station did I listen to? Well, I am in Connecticut..the greater New Haven area so we listened to WPOP and Wolf Man Jack!! Who else!
What music format did it play? Rock n' Roll of course
What format of music does current fav station play? Sorry..die hard Rock n' Roll fan. WPLR

My question for Quintessa is this, What kids games do you remember playing when kids actually went outside to play? Hide n Seek when it got dark? Red Rover? Dodge Ball? Hopscotch? Jump Rope.....sigh...those were the days!
