Hi there, kids! Many thanks to Ruby Wilfong for being my Substitute Tipster while I was away. Great job, Ruby! For Today's Tip, I have Dark of the Moon to thank. She sent me a list with some new tips I'd never seen before. So scroll on down and check out one of of my faves.
KEY TRICK
Do you carry several keys, as I do? I have keys for my home, keys for my sister's home, keys for my office and keys for my church. Sometimes it's difficult to tell them apart. Here is a super-easy way to make each key easy to identify.
Using different colors of nail polish, paint the head of each key a different color. Easy peasy! Just be careful not to paint the the lower part of the key where the teeth are. After you paint them, all you have to do is remember which color is which. *chuckle*

That's a good idea, Pam. I have also seen colored plastic covers for key heads at the hardware store. I use one of my house keys (the front gate key) more often than all the others, so I identified it with a dot of red nail polish and that made it easier to find, especially in the dark.
I have colored tags for each key. I put my address on them and a note that says if found deliver to address shown. If no one is home open door and set them on the kitchen counter. Thankyou and help yourself to some cookies.
Great tip Pammy and Dark of the Moon!
In our house there are hundreds of keys. Okay, a small exaggeration, but not by much! DH has keys for everything, Cars, trucks, equipment, locks of all kinds all over the place, tool boxes, storage containers, out buildings and other folks keys to their vehicles. We even have a small cabinet in the kitchen with nothing but cup hooks and small containers for keys!
DH watches over some of our elderly neighbors and has keys to their homes and vehicles. One of our lady neighbors tends to lock herself out of her home and car often, so one of us usually will go see about her. Thankfully she has an emergency call button that she wears around her neck everyday. We are on that call list.
So most keys are marked with tags or colored covers, or both. And kept organized.
That's a really good idea if a pile of keys is carried around. You could use the polish to make a letter to help remember which door. Like "S" for sister, "O" for office and "C" for church.
Good idea. They also sell novelty keys at many places.
