If you were given a chance to go back to the past to tell yourself one thing that can change your future, what would that be?

The only thing you can do is talk to your old self, that meant you cannot go to the lottery machine and buy the winning lotto and give it to yourself.

I hope this can be fun:

Let me starts:

I would go back to my HS senior self and tell myself don't go into the military and college. Just focus on technology (I was really good with computer). My path after HS: Military, college, finance and now I am back to IT. If I can convince myself that, I would save myself 6 to 10 years.

I hope this can be fine for others:

Hmmm...Yea, I'd self talk about career choices.

I'd also keep unattached during those years as well.

Instead, I'd concentrate more on education and goals for future.

I'd also avoid specific relatives.

Oh, alright! I would go back in the past and tell myself that I can go into the future and meet someone really special on a website called, "City-Data.com".
THEN - we would get the fried chicken.

I'd go up to myself while the girl who became my first wife was studying engagement rings in the shop. I'd whisper, "listen son, don't marry her, it'll be the biggest mistake of your life......."

I'm the opposite. While there are things I would have wanted to differently in my life (school, job, dating choices), should other paths have been traveled I wouldn't have met my DW. So, I'm happy things worked out the way they did.

I suppose I could go back to a certain test day in college and remind myself to turn the test over and answer the questions on the back.

I would have told myself to stay in school and get my degree instead of dropping and moving halfway across the country for some guy who promised to marry me and then didn't.

Stop speaking negative things and prophecies into existence. Your words have power. When you declare it, it happens. So speak only positive things, prosperity, and blessings into your life as well as your family. Keep your mouth shut about their personal choices and continue to send love, good energy, and blessings toward them.

Had I said this to myself years ago, I don't think me or my family would be in the position we are today. Thankfully I know it now so I am changing my life through positive affirmations and prayer.
