Happy Friday, kids! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.

MAKE YOUR TENNIES LOOK LIKE NEW

Although it is okay to machine-wash leather tennis shoes with cold water on the gentle cycle, eventually this process will make your shoes look dingy. To keep them looking new, here's another method.

Mix 2 ounces of liquid Dawn dish soap with 16 ounces of warm water. (Mix gently; bubbles are not needed.) Dip a soft toothbrush into the liquid and very gently scrub your tennies using small, circular motions.

Next, wipe the shoes with a damp cloth. If you missed any spots, brush those again and then wipe them off again.

Ideally, your shoes will dry fastest if you put them out in the sun. Place a lightweight kitchen towel over the shoes to prevent sun damage while they dry.

After the shoes are completely dry, a bit of TLC with a commercial leather conditioner or Murphy's Oil Soap will keep them looking their best.

Brings back memories. I wear out my tennies before they get dirty. I have to replace them every 6 months then I use the old ones for work shoes.

Great memory. I loved that show when I was a kid.

Never noticed before that the middle shoes were sneakers! I wonder if they ever washed 'em.
