Seems like people can't take responsibility for their own safety these days, and always assume that there's a safety net going to be there for them.
I get annoyed by street lights today, where you push the arrow to cross, you hear Wait, Wait, Wait, Wait and then when it turns Green, another message, telling you how many seconds you have to cross. Perhaps that was instituted for the sake of the Blind, and the rest of us have to suffer for it.

I don't think the blind can see it. I did come across one that had a man's voice counting the seconds. Now that was for the blind.
