Have you ever worked for a company or organization that went belly up or almost did? Nope
Have you or yours had a second or third career? Yep.
How about a second childhood? Or an ongoing one?
It's Memoir Writing Month.
If you were to write a memoir, what part(s) of your life would it focus on? Hard to seperate out parts or years, even though some periods have been better or worse than others. I keep thinking I should write one organized around the varied and odd places I have lived and worked.
If you could, would you attend an opera -all expenses paid- or would you rather skip it?
Or have you already been to an opera. Several. I was in "Mephistopheles" as a cherub back when I was cherubic. I enjoy opera in outdoor locations or in beautiful opera houses but don't like the whole modern thing of subtitles beamed on the stage and audience members wearing whatever they want. The opera experience should be beautiful and special.
Foodie Questions: Tell us as many as you like, food or beverage flavors that combine well: Just took a tea making class; here's my "sort" that I created: green tea with crumbled peppermint leaves and lemongrass (cut with scissors). It was a fun class - did you know that you can buy fillable tea bags that come in strips? Once you fill them with your tea mixture you iron the edges shut, then cut them apart and voila, your own bags of your own "sort"!
Food or drink flavors that should never be combined or only with extreme caution : The only thing I can think of is don't brush your teeth with minty toothpaste then eat an orange.
Just for fun: If you lived in a house in the city or 'burbs, Would you rather live:
-on a corner lot?
-in the middle of a block?
-down a cul-de-sac or dead end street? I grew up on one of these, and it was great. If you have to live in a city I would think anything with the least passing traffic would be best. I've never ever lived in a 'burb.
Thank you for the questions. Wow, is it Thursday already??
Today's Hairy Questions: It's Love Your Red Hair Day. What color is your hair? Black with a touch of gray.
Have you ever dyed your hair? No.
Any experience you've had with hair cutting, barber shops, beauty salons, etc.: Nothing really stands out. Just get my hair cut at the barber shop where they already know how I want my hair cut. However, I would like to go to Phoenix one day and get the "Phoenix Haircut," specifically from the barber featured here:
Bonus Section:
Have you ever worked for a company or organization that went belly up or almost did? Not while I worked there, but the writing was on the wall and I was eventually laid off, like so many others. The company ended up merging with another one in order to survive.
Have you or yours had a second or third career? No.
How about a second childhood? The first one was enough.
It's Memoir Writing Month.
If you were to write a memoir, what part(s) of your life would it focus on? Maybe my college/young adult years. They were the most fun for me.
If you could, would you attend an opera -all expenses paid- or would you rather skip it? I'll skip it; not a fan.
Or have you already been to an opera? See above response.^^^
Foodie Questions: Tell us as many as you like, food or beverage flavors that combine well: Peanut butter and chocolate, milk and orange juice, hot buttered popcorn with cut-up red vines (red licorice). I've also had a sandwich that had peanut butter on one slice, cream cheese on another slice and jelly in between. Yum!
Food or drink flavors that should never be combined or only with extreme caution : Probably chocolate with anything savory, like steak or hamburger. Although I've had chocolate-covered potato chips, which was an interesting blend of flavors and textures.
Just for fun: If you lived in a house in the city or 'burbs, Would you rather live:
-on a corner lot?
-in the middle of a block?
-down a cul-de-sac or dead end street? <--This. I grew up in a house on a cul-de-sac street with 10 houses (5 on each side). Very safe for kids to play since there was practically no traffic going through there.
Enjoy the first Thursday of November. We FINALLY got cooler weather here.
Time to sit back and relax with the first Thursday Qs for this November . . .

Food or drink flavors that should never be combined or only with extreme caution :
Just for fun: If you lived in a house in the city or 'burbs, Would you rather live:
-on a corner lot? Too many cut across the yard.
-in the middle of a block?
-down a cul-de-sac or dead end street? Did this when the kids were growing up... great for the safety of the kiddos & fun for both the adults & kiddos if all on the cul-de-sac are in the same age group w/kiddos, but forget about having any privacy whatsoever from your neighbors.

My hair colour is white......... It started going that way in my late 20s. I thought about hair dye in my late 30s, but decided it was too much bother. My eldest son's hair is going grey prematurely as well. It could be worse - at least it didn't fall out!!
If I was to write a memoir, it would cover the first 45 years of my life. It would make for interesting reading, and I think would make a great telly movie. Lots of love, hate, passion, loss, and forgiveness. Everything you need for a good read!!
