My parents had a couple of me. When the child pornography law came about, they destroyed them out of an abundance of caution. I'm not aware they took any of my younger sister. Were these naked baby pictures just a thing for males, or for the oldest child?
nope-I'm the younger of 2 girls. We both had them.
I'm so old I remember being shocked and disappointed that Sid Caesar wasn't married to Imogene Coca. I also remember when record stores had listening booths so you could preview a record before deciding whether to buy.

Thankfully, my parents never took any pictures of us naked. But I remember my little girl friend across the street, who invited me over for dinner and home movies. There was a scene of her on their camping vacation where she was being changed out of her bathing suit, thus temporarily naked. She was absolutely horrified and begged her parents not to show or keep that part of the movie, to no avail.
I don't remember that because we got TV Guide. My older sister used to deliver them.
I remember "casing" TV Guide for the post office the one season I worked there. They were really fun to case because of their uniform size and weight, which made a satisfying "clunk" into the case and I could throw them in really fast.
Even though TV Guide was not first class mail, the little magazines were handled as such, even before first class mail, because subscribers would get angry if their TV Guide was late.

I wonder why parents do things like that. Do they not remember what it was like to be a child? My memory of my childhood is sharp. Do the parents have trouble emphasizing with others? On the other hand, I was looking at some woman's auto-biography at the library, and was surprised to come upon a picture of her as a small child. Her parents were in bathing suits, and she was naked. I would have been mortified if my parents had taken a home movie with me naked, and shown it to others.

I remember a bunch of lectures from our school nurse in academic 1967–68 explaining the ills of smoking. I was in fifth grade. Suffice to see it worked so I never picked up a single cigarette, though I did pick up other things) in my life. I even remember the name of the school nurse, and the head nurse for whom she was an assistant
This seems appropriate for April 15. I remember when some Post Offices would stay open late on the day when income tax returns were due, sometimes staying open until midnight.
