I remember as a kid working the pumps and filling your tank. Took your $5.00 word literally and let the pump run til the meter said $5.00. Man there was a lot of gas spilled all over the driveway and down the side of your vehicle. Man you sure swore a lot.
Nowadays they take the fun out of pumping and guessing how full the tank is getting with those automatic shut off's.

Default i'm so old

I remember when telephone numbers had names my was metcalf 36269.
you went to the drug store and they had a soda fountain and made just about anything you could think of. do you remember cherry phospates ( i think thats the way it was spelled). real big malts with real icecream topped with a cherry, bannana splits about 12 in. long and filled with three different flavors of ice cream, then strawberry and pineapple topping all covered with whipped cream and three cherrys. Root beer floats topped with whipped cream, candy bars .05 and the great frozen candy bars. all of this and the juke box played for .05 a song. and if their were three or four of you you got to sit in a booth.and we did for hours at a time and no one complained as long as you were not make trouble.
Do you remember hay rides down the road till you got to the river then to the area where the bonfire was and you cooked hot dogs over the fire.
JUST THINK WHAT OUR KIDS MISSED and what the kids FROM THIS DAY AND AGE ARE GOING TO MISS. TO BAD.
