What are you doing this weekend?
No specific plans. Maybe do a couple of chores around the house.
Have you ever owned a horse or wished you could?
No. I don't know anything about caring for horses so had better not. I wouldn't mind riding someone else's horse, like for a day.
When you were young was there a store or place you and your sibs or friends could go to buy a drink or a piece of candy?
There was a mom and pop store about a mile away. We rode our bikes there. We would each get a candy bar or a bag of M&Ms. They had all sorts of sodas you never hear about anymore. They were in these deep coolers, not glass fronted and modern, but waist high and you slid a lid back horizontally and they had rows of them. It was a wonder to a kid in search of a cold drink on a hot day.
Before you could drive where did you hang out even if it was at someone's house?
Mostly someone's house or parks or though it sounds terrible by today's standards, we explored construction sites.
If you got an allowance growing up how much was it?
Only school lunch money and I think that's wrong. Allowance should be given so kids learn early how to manage resources.
Did you ever sneak money, even change, from either of your parents?[/quote]
My dad was okay with us taking the change off his dresser. He never liked keeping change in his pockets so wasn't going to use any of it.
Thanks for the cool Qs, PegE!
