TODAY'S QUESTIONS
Have you ever gone snow sledding? Yes, but not in many years.
Have you ridden on a toboggan? Yes, again long ago.
How about snow skiing: been there, done that? Yes, was in the ski club in high school, and did a lot of skiing in the California-Nevada Sierras.
Have you engaged in a snowball fight? Oh yes.
I've never walked in snowshoes. Have you? No
Did you ever build a snow fort or igloo? No
BONUS QUESTIONS
Do you like soups? Yes, several kinds.
When did you last enjoy a bowl of soup? Last week
What is your favorite kind of soup? Split Pea
Do you ever make soup from scratch? Always, I never use canned.
Crackers with your soup: yes or no? If yes, do you crumble crackers into the soup? Yes, and yes!
I like my soups scalding hot, even if I burn my mouth on it. Do you ever burn your mouth when you eat soup? Yes, almost every time.
Have you ever eaten a cold soup such as gazpacho or borscht? No
How many canned soups do you presently have on your shelf, and what kinds are they? One, Campbell's Fiesta Nacho Cheese, we use it not as soup but in a chicken dish.
Do you have any soups in your freezer? Yes, 2-3 kinds in quart containers.
These questions are making me hungry! I think I'll make a pot of soup tomorrow. Now, I just need to decide which kind. Split pea with ham hocks, perhaps. Yum! I also like to use Linguica instead of ham hocks.

Have you ever gone snow sledding? Have you ridden on a toboggan? How about snow skiing: been there, done that? Have you engaged in a snowball fight? Did you ever build a snow fort or igloo? Yes to all of the above, winter in the upper midwest and I loved it.Our toboggan run was a snow covered sand dune that ended in Lake Michigan if you weren't careful!
I've never walked in snowshoes. Have you? As kids we tried to walk around in some adult size snowshoes someone's parents had, it was not very successful.

I like my soups scalding hot, even if I burn my mouth on it. Do you ever burn your mouth when you eat soup? No
Have you ever eaten a cold soup such as gazpacho or borscht? I have, and a cold blueberry soup once too, yummm
How many canned soups do you presently have on your shelf, and what kinds are they? I keep a lot of soup for emergencies, so I probably have over two dozen at the moment, all those I mentioned above plus different types of bean and lentil soups
Do you have any soups in your freezer? Not at the moment
Do you have any dry soup mixes in your pantry? Not that I actually use to make soup
These questions are making me hungry! I think I'll make a pot of soup tomorrow. Now, I just need to decide which kind. Split pea with ham hocks, perhaps. Yum!

Thanks Pam.
My crazy possum was in my neighbors yard waste bag eating tomatoes in their garage. I wondered why she didn't show up Saturday night. I had to transfer her into a cozy box full of paper shavings where she stayed under the deck with a towel over it until dusk. I'm going to insulate it and put her food in there. It's so cold and we got our first measurable snow fall with more to come. They don't do well in the cold.
Have you ever gone snow sledding? Yes. My sibs, friends and I spent countless hours sledding during the snowy winters when we were growing up in northwest Indiana. We had so much fun.
Have you ridden on a toboggan? I've done this a few times.
How about snow skiing: been there, done that? I've only been snow skiing once, back in the mid-1970s. It was in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Since I was a beginner, I stuck to the bunny hills most of the day while my boyfriend, an experienced skier, skied on the "mountain." Toward the end of the day, when I'd gained some confidence and had "snow plowing" down, my boyfriend talked me into riding the chair lift to one of the higher points on the mountain. When I got to the top, I was scared to death! It sure looked a lot steeper from up there. I was so afraid I'd get going too fast and would lose control, so I sat down and scooted on my butt till I was about halfway down the slope. Then I stood up and successfully skied down to the bottom. I would have loved to ski again after that day, but never had another opportunity to go on a ski trip.
Have you engaged in a snowball fight? Countless times as a kid. Several times as an adult.
I've never walked in snowshoes. Have you? I'd like to try it sometime.
Did you ever build a snow fort or igloo? We did both a lot when I was growin gup.
BONUS QUESTIONS
Do you like soups? Love 'em.
When did you last enjoy a bowl of soup? About 10 minutes ago; the last of a batch of homemade chicken soup that I made several days ago.
What is your favorite kind of soup? I can't choose just one. It depends on my mood. My favorites include: split pea; bean; chicken rice or chicken noodle; mushroom; beef vegetable; pumpkin.
Do you ever make soup from scratch? Yepper. I really enjoy making soups, including all those I named above. A couple of weeks ago I made pumpkin soup for the first time, and it was super delicious. I'll make it again soon.
Crackers with your soup: yes or no? If yes, do you crumble crackers into the soup? I do like crackers with soup, but I don't crush them into the soup.
I like my soups scalding hot, even if I burn my mouth on it. Do you ever burn your mouth when you eat soup? Yep. Frequently.
Have you ever eaten a cold soup such as gazpacho or borscht? I have, but I much prefer hot soups.
How many canned soups do you presently have on your shelf, and what kinds are they? I have a few cans of Campbell's cream soups, in case they're called for in a recipe. I only used canned soups for recipes.
Do you have any soups in your freezer? Yeppers. Right now I have single-serve containers of homemade chicken rice soup, mushroom soup and split pea soup in my freezer.
Do you have any dry soup mixes in your pantry? No. On rare occasions I do buy dry soup mixes and when I prepare them I add a bunch of ingredients to make them more homemade-tasting.
