Did you ever prepare trash for pick up only to realize it was a holiday? No

Have you looked in the mailbox on a holiday or a Sunday? No

Today's Tidbit:
Saw this on TV recently, get down to brass tacks supposedly comes from buying fabric when brass tacks were nailed into at store's countertop a measured distance apart. If you were a serious customer, the seller unrolled the fabric and measured it out to cut. If you were just looking, dreaming, window shopping, then you weren't ready to get down to brass tacks.

Have an above average Thursday.
Thank you!

Yes, I have all sorts of nails, brads, tacks, screws, and assorted hardware. I probably even have brass tacks. Rusty anything I would throw out.

My garbage can in a half mile from my house. I have a long driveway. I put my trash bags in it as they get full. I try to make sure all trash is out by Wednesday evening as they pick up on Thursday.

I seldom get mail at my street address, but I have looked in the box on Sundays before. I have signed up for the service the post office provides to tell you when you have a letter, etc. My important mail goes to a P.O. Box.

My only complaint about Holidays is an increase in traffic if it makes a long weekend.

Today's Question(s):
Do you have any tacks, nails, or brads?
Yes, I have a shelf full of various sizes. Do you need some?

What would you likely do with an old coffee can of rusty nails?
Nails would go in the recycle bin, the can gets saved for something new.

Did you ever prepare trash for pick up only to realize it was a holiday?
Yes, infact is our normal pickup day. Noticed that the neighbors didn't get the memo. My wheelie bins will go out tonight.

Have you looked in the mailbox on a holiday or a Sunday?

Any other ways holidays screwed up your schedule ?
Get up, get dressed, drive half way to work before wondering why traffic is so light. Then the light comes on.

Foodie Question(s):
What recipes or kinds of dishes have you been meaning to try?

What's the last or a recent thing you bought for your kitchen?
Anew fancy shmancy stove.

Interesting bit of trivia.

Today's Question(s):
Do you have any tacks, nails, or brads?
All of the above.
What would you likely do with an old coffee can of rusty nails?
I found an old can half full of rusty nails and screws left by a previous owner while I was cleaning the garage the other day. I tossed them. The can was toast so it went too.
Did you ever prepare trash for pick up only to realize it was a holiday?
I've done that.
Have you looked in the mailbox on a holiday or a Sunday?
I hear you on leaving junk. It's a habit and sometimes I check on a non-delivery day.
Any other ways holidays screwed up your schedule ?
When working, yes. I've worked a lot of holidays and missed them when out on the road driving too.
Foodie Question(s):
What recipes or kinds of dishes have you been meaning to try?
I made a start experimenting with different kinds of homemade tacos.
What's the last or a recent thing you bought for your kitchen?
A toaster oven.

Thanks, all. Looking forward to any additional answers.
