I censor myself while in a theatre . . . but I do a lot of talking when watching movies at home, LOL. Luckily, DH does it, too. We anticipate lines, ask each other questions ("what did she MEAN?" Did you see him palm that card???") comment on cinematography (that was a super shot! look at that beach in the background!) and have a running commentary on plot (The writers are setting him up for someone to burst in the door!!! Oh, that is unrealistic - no one would really have said that!)
We are really really bad and even our kids do not want to watch movies w/ us at home, unless we promise to keep quiet, LOL. But hey - that is the fun of watching AT HOME!!!!
Most of the time when I take Mrs Aks to the movies it’s the same old thing, with so many others talking and laughing about the movie while we are trying to hear what’s being said on screen. I’ve often thought about taking a flashlight with me and turning it on those who are talking. Mrs Aks won’t let me.
I want to go back to the good old days when we could go to the “drive-in” and not have all the talking. Well there wasn’t much talking in my car anyway!
Ok,,, I’m sitting in front of you and I can hear you whispering in the cell phone, however could you PLEASE stop tapping the back of MY seat with your FOOT. And if you happen to get up and go get something at the refreshment stand, would you mind stopping by the ladies room and washing off all that smelly perfume ~ it’s a little too much for most everyone here at the theater ~ some people can’t even smell their popcorn because of it. Ouch…
Can someone remind Mrs Aks why we bought a DVD player and how easy it is to rent movies?
Location: Moved to town. Miss 'my' woods and critters.

When a child, I just about lived at the local theatres and the ones on Grand Ave. in St. Louis that were the larger ones that showed the first rate movies. I can still rememborie the usher coming down the aisles with his flashlight to remind 'talkers' that they would be thrown out if they didn't quit misbehaving. Many times the adults were just about as guilty as the children when it came to noise making.
Yes, Aksarben, when someone kicks the back of my seat, I go nuts. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
