It's 4:02 a.m. in (upstate) NY and my day is already a good news day. My wife is 40 minutes north at her son's house to help with our Grandson during the day. This is the second week. I took the bus last week on Wednesday to go spend the day with her and Little G. (Georgie) He's almost a year old and busy, busy, busy. I'm catching the 7a.m. bus this morning to spend the day again. It'll be an even better good news day if her son and his wife find a babysitter. I'm writing in purple because it's my wife's favorite color. Hope there is good news in your day.
Great weather here yesterday a little cooler making is just right to work outside in the yard. I managed to accomplish more then I thought I'd get done. Today it's starting out and looking like it too will be a nice cooler day for some more work.
Today I had such a wonderful human moment. I go to a local gym almost every day at the same time. I have formed connections with other people there. I especially am impressed with the senior citizens. They show up and do what they do with a smile. There is one woman in particular I always greet, but she for what ever reason didn't want to be bothered with me. She would look at me and not speak. The more it happened the more I wondered why she didn't like me. It started to really bother me and I mentioned it to a friend. Undaunted by just how much my friendly charm seemed to repel this woman. I continued to nod, smile and speak... Today I am deep into my workout sweating and this lady comes over and speaks to me. She asks me how I am doing and continued to talk pleasantly with me for more than 30 minutes. I was so surprised and moved. I could feel the sentimental tears wanting to express how I truly felt. It turns out she is a very interesting person and she hugged me even though I was sweaty. Now I got more acceptance I bargained for, but I was touched. She likes me!

The estimator showed up on time for a quote on painting and patching the house.
A new quote is expected tomorrow on a new garage door.
So far prices look good and within budget.
Oh, and we got a good donation from them.
