I finally got the garage door opener replaced and the door repaired. This has been an ongoing issue here and I just never got it repaired however a friend of ours knew a young man who was working in the trade and he said he would stop by and see what he could do. As luck would have it, he did all the work necessary for the price of the parts and a small reasonable labor fee for his time. Everything is better than now than it was originally when we bought the house new years ago. I have a quiet belt driven motor, replaced springs, new weather striping, and new bearings. It's so quiet I can't tell when anyone is breaking into the garage..................... lol
Getting ready to shut down my office; It's been a very productive and fulfilling day, and everyone I crossed paths with was cheerful, and pleasant to work with! So nice to encounter so many happy people!
I'm so thankful I'm self-employed and don't have to put up with a bunch of complainers and whiners.
Glad everyone was happy! Makes the day go well.

I am happy today myself! I applied to two jobs I'd love to have. Plus, I have a possible job interview with a company I have a connection with (sister of the director told me about the job!).
Mrs Aks & I found out that we’re going to be a great aunt & uncle this morning. Our other nephew called and said they were expecting their first born this fall.
I'm not really sure that was a good thing, but DD was happy and I slept it...
