Yesterday we asked what you didn't want to find under the tree so I have to ask

Is there anything you have HINTED that you really really want to find under the tree ?

A new laptop, but $$ is certainly a concern...

Bonus Question:

When Mrs. Tek told me our neighbors son, wife and grandson were coming down from Minneapolis tomorrow, I wanted to say "ROFL Yeah right that's going to happen ?

Extra Credit Question:

When was the last time you colluded on something with someone ?

I don't do that.

Today in History:
1882 - 1st string of Christmas tree lights created by Thomas Edison
1886 - 1st national accountants' society in U.S. formed (New York City)
1894 - United States Golf Association forms (New York City)
1937 - Lincoln Tunnel, in New York City, opens to traffic
1958 - The Chipmunks were at the #1 position on the music charts. Alvin, Simon, and Theodore sang with David Seville. "The Chipmunk Song", the novelty tune that topped the charts for a month, is still a Christmas favorite today.

Word of the Day:

collude\kuh-LOOD\ , intransitive verb;
1.To act in concert; to conspire; to plot.

Today is:

National Date Nut Bread Day
Thermometer Day Low numbers!
National Haiku Poetry Day
Lipstick Day Would that be on a famous pig?
Eleven Pipers Piping Day Hey we're trying to sleep here!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Babble
A winter storm
icy and slippery, howling
winds come
Two feet of snow
on the ground lies waiting
man with shovel
Jacksonville Karla
bemoans the coldness
of thirty nine
Okay, enough of that.
Well, except for this: Did you know that the beginning of I am a Rock by Simon and Garfunkel was
"A winter's day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone"
Today turned better weather-wise than expected. No freezing rain overnight or yet today. The forecast for the next couple of days sounds better for us. More rain instead of freezing rain, but then turning to snow which likely means a period of freezing rain sometime Thursday. North of us is a different animal all together. I'm glad we aren't trying to travel, especially North.
I'm finished with business until after Christmas (I hope) so it's time for a break. Mrs. Tek is done at noon tomorrow and we might go shopping. It all depends on what form the rain is taking by then.
Everyone have
a good long night of
winters glow
Am always colluding with my step-mum on treats she wants me to buy for my Dad!!
Are our politicians colluding with the weather men to convince us global warming exists as it certainly doesn't feel like it does in these parts at the moment.
Thermometer Day - Minus one here at the moment (23.20) - positively balmy
