People, who when caught in deceit, spin tales to place the blame elsewhere. (ex. John "Love Lips" Edwards, Tiger Woods)

"Oh what a wicked web we weave, when we practice to deceive".

and per your example we should learn never to place anyone to high on a pedestal to think they are without fault.

Edwards was taught to twist the truth. As I write this, I have to wonder if it is part of their training or part of our political culture which bring such poor character traits and feeling of immunity to light. It looks like some individuals reach a point where they think they are entitled to do what ever they want, and it doesn’t make a difference who they run over.

We know they are human and make mistakes, but to continually lie and cheat and put themselves in the position of being caught when you are in the public spotlight, is just insane to me.

But isn't it fun to watch them squirm?
I certainly have no sympathy for them. I heard a woman the other day say she felt sooooooo bad for Tiger. His life has been ruined! My ans. was "And whose fault is it? No one BUT his". She threw me a very dirty look.

The first thing you learn in "Politics or In the Spotlight 101" is, if you tell a lie loud enough and long enough you start to believe it yourself.
