I wouldn't think anything was too weird about it. If his wife is breastfeeding, then it's probably a big part of their lives right now and was on his mind. Just another aspect of child-rearing for the small talk. I don't see why it's so much weirder than asking the ubiquitous "Does your baby sleep through the night yet?" that I have been asked by many a stranger.
Perfectly OK.
Especially when the first kid comes along, guys know nothing and so chatting to another guy who already has a kid is great.
Guys don't need to know each other for 10 years before they ask a question. Its just a question.
Agree. My husband has had these discussions with other men at the park. It also offers a different perspective from those WOMEN at work who use the word "still".
Is it wrong for two men with children under age two that just met at a store to be having a friendly conversation about their kids growing up, milestones etc .. then one of them asks the other if his wife is still breastfeeding and how long she did? The man that asked the question has a wife that still breastfeeds at 11 months.
Men might be better to answer this question.
I don't think there is anything wrong with this.. what do you think?
