i can't think of one dining experience that involved screaming children running around, though. maybe at the old country buffet or somewhere, but not at a regular sit-down restaurant.
I agree. People act like it's a widespread problem but it's something that I very rarely see.
Because all of us moms should have ESP and know that a good action (going to an AA meeting) will result in a bad outcome (child getting burned).
Would it not be a good idea if AA arranges some kind of childcare service where someone could watch the child in another room while their alcoholic mother tries to get help? A 2yr old is not going to understand what the meeting is about but a 10 yr old child would. I don't think its appropriate to take a child to an AA meeting and I stand by that.
Oh hang on, you're right. She should have known in advance how unbelievably dangerous AA meetings are for small children and stayed home and not addressed her alcoholism at all. That would have been much more worthwhile.
She could have found someone to watch her child while she went to the meeting so she could CONCENTRATE on getting sober. Anyways I don't want to go off topic anymore. This thread is about children at restaurants not children at AA meetings.
people with kids are no better. other parents always think that their way of doing things is the best and privately scold children who don't behave how their children do.
Excuse me, but this other parent does not always think my way of doing things is the best. Parenting taken seriously is a hard, full time job. I try to do my best, but I'm not ashamed to say I make mistakes. I've admired many other mothers for their parenting skills. Privately scold other's children? No, I had enough dealing w/ my own, thankyou very much.

Say all you want. It just seems all you care about doing is coming on this parenting thread to stir up the pot.
