But it only records 30 minutes and it's not streaming. It's not a live feed. So realistically for a perv to use this he would have to give it to the child and some how get to back later after the child did something. I think it's kind of a stretch.

I think it can be uploaded remotely though....so you could record, upload, erase and repeat in theory.
I think the idea is you give a little child one and you can remotely watch them from your computer.
I don't think this doll/camera automatically sends the images to computers. It says you can take video and then upload it to the computer. There are steps involved, unlike the "nannycam" or other closed circuit video systems that automatically send video.
Every year at holiday time, we hear about some toy that is "dangerous". I remember a few years back (3 or 4?) when they had the Bratz dolls --- not only were the dolls a "bad influence" on little girls, but the larger sized one that sang had lyrics with 'bad words' in them (my daughter had the doll and we listened to it so many times to see if we could hear the bad words and there were none. Oh, and now the Bratz dolls are being sold as "Moxie Girlz" dolls Exact same dolls, exact same clothing and makeup but now called "Moxie" instead of "Brat"

Actually bratz again because mattels judgement got overturned somewhat
Yeah, it's not streaming, not according to the box of the one I got for DD. You have to upload it somehow (not opening the box to find out). I'm like, totally not worried, about this gift.
I would add that the camera in this doll is no different than taking your child out in public. People can tape your child in public, legally. I'd hazard a guess that it is easier to tape your child in public than it is for some one to give your child a Barbie with the intention of taping him/her.
