We were expecting it to some extent but still...

OK - I'm actually bach-ing it tonight. Only one home. Of course, like any other time, nothing on TV that I'm interested in so I'm digging through the DVDs to see if there is something I wouldn't mind watching....
what is interesting is that, at the time, our area of CA (think much lower COL than LA or Bay area) was more expensive than here. Now it is the opposite.

Hola las ninas.

Yes, I had a hot god replace my windshield. Saw a hot god as I was driving home this evening. He came out of the Armed Forces recruiting center. Camos. Jump boots. He was waiting at the crosswalk. I swear to goodness that if it was hot I'd have offered him a ride.

For all those times I thought how nice it would be to have the whole house to myself for "just one night"...here and am and dang...it's quiet. And kinda boring. And DD took most of the good movies. I'm down to Miracle on Ice, Blue Crush or Sense and Sensibility. I like them all but none of them is jumping out at me saying "watch me!" Might hold out and finish Kitty Kelley's unauthorized biography of Oprah then watch Top Chef Masters.....yep. Pretty exciting around here....

Wednesday night = Modern Family for me. I'm pooped. Will probably read the Mattie thread, grab the Vanity Fair I haven't had a chance to read and crawl into bed.

We DVR Modern Family and The Middle, but only new episodes. Summer means our DVR will be pretty empty. I increased my netflix plan to 2 DVDs at a time to fill in. We have Inside Job and Shrek Forever After at the moment.

I'm car-less. We dropped it off tonight for inspection. Please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't cost a thousand dollars to pass and a week to get it back.

I'm jealous of all of you who live in states with only emissions inspections. I believe Pennsylvania's safety inspections might be the worst of all the states.

Dang, safety inspections? We only have emissions testing, but from what I hear it's often nearly impossible for certain cars to pass the testing. I believe it was also made more difficult recently.

I DVR those too. I am kind of bummed that summer slows down. OTOH, for years I complained that there was nothing on in the summer except reruns and I think they listened to me complaining for too long because for the last few years more and more channels are coming out with summer shows. At least it isn't all or nothing any more.

I've never heard of a car safety inspection being required. Hope it goes well for you!
