Soo......
My aunt had cancer, grapefruit sized tumor in her colon, removed, in remission.
She's been having some pain.
Its back.
Baseball sized, inoperable, too close to an aortic vessel, they can't do much.

My grandmother told me everything and gave my great grandmother a watered down version of what she told me.

My biopsy came back normal and despite my aunt now having terminal cancer, she wanted to know how I was doing in that department as well.

So we got our first farm share yesterday. Most of it - easy. But I've never had bok choy before. Need suggestions on what to do with it.

I don't have any experience with bok choy that I know of. I don't cook at all. DH does all of our cooking. Having said that, I do love to eat.

I did a quick google and found a lot of recipies. One that looked really goof to me was this one Rosie's Bok Choy Salad Recipe - Allrecipes.com

That same site had a lot of other recipies for bok choy. Allrecipes - Recipe Search

Let me know what you decide to do. Now I am curious about it.

I usually stir-fry mine, in olive oil with a little garlic & ginger. Mmmm...

I love bok choy. I stir fry it. BUt since I love raw veggies I also chop up small amounts and put it in green salads. DH likes to dip it in ranch dressing.

So, I was talking to DD a few minutes ago and she tells me "Mommy. If you would just do what I want you to do, I wouldn't have tantrums." My response was "If you are old enough to use your logic to deduce that, then you are old enough to stop having tantrums." She didn't appreciate it.

She doesn't have many tantrums any more, but she does have some. Maybe 6 per year. When she does, they are real doozies. It is so frustrating. She should have outgrown these by now, but she is just so stubborn that sometimes it comes out as a tantrum. Ugh! Ironically enough, she hasn't had a tantrum in a while, so I am not sure how this conversation even came up.

Thanks - I use allrecipes for about everything! I saw a few on there, but nothing that just blew me away - all though....the one where you grill (yes grill!) it sounded interesting. Might be worth a shot.

This week all I got were different types of greens and turnips. My son is eating the turnips raw, so that's taken care of. We'll be bunnies by the end of the summer with all the greens.....some very unusual types as well.
