Your screen name reminded was the name of one of my Grandmother's best friends. You just brought up a name that I hadn't thought of in years.
I love that name. I got it from an old TV show I watched when I was a kid, "Our Miss Brooks." Miss Brooks' landlady, Mrs. Davis, had a cat named Minerva. We never saw Minerva but whenever Mrs. Davis called her we heard a very cranky meow. For some reason I thought that was hilarious and I vowed if ever I got a kitty I would name it Minerva. And I did.
I needed an extra letter to make it work as a user name so the "h" is the first letter of my last name.
Declan is pretty common Irish name these days. We have two in our family. Sort of like Liam.
Names I like for boys are Graham, Oliver, Holden and Hayes. For girls, Harper and Charlotte. For both, Reese and Reed.
Our youngest son was thisclose to being named Graham. I just couldn't get past my fear that he would be called Graham Cracker in school.
My uncle is a priest, and campaigned mightily to name me Annunciata, since my mother's due date was the Feast of the Assumption, and that was the closest name he could come up with. Fortunately, I arrived ahead of schedule.
Fletcher. I heard of a boy named Fletcher. It sounds like belch kinda.
Grayson. Wtf? Yes, I've met a Grayson. And a Bodie -- pronounce "bow-dee"
Ughhh and I thought Hudson was a terrible name (yes, I've heard that one too)
I know a family with Sam, Simon, Hank, Fletcher and Rex!

One of my best friends named her 3rd, Graham! First two are Ryan and Jamesie! She is British, her American husband didn't like Graham, cause of Graham cracker, but so far no one has called him Cracker! Maybe it's the partial British accent.
Oh my! Good thing I wasn't eating when I read this or I would have to be cleaning up my monitor!
