When is it too late to bring out toddlers, in your opinion? Does anyone have any experience with having the only option of bringing a toddler out late at night?

What do you mean by "too late" and "bring out?"

Toddlers should be in bed by 8:00pm IMO. That was my children's bedtime. A consistent sleep schedule is important.

I agree with this. BUT I can imagine that there would be lots of variations to this based on individual families and circumstances.

My two year old has a 7:00 bedtime, and her routine starts at 6:00. She doesn't do well when we change things up. So for OUR family, it's 6:00. However, in general for OTHER families, my answer is whenever works best so that everyone stays well rested and happy.

Depends. For us, probably 7:30 or 8:00. But, if you are a single parent or your spouse isn't home and you need to buy medicine or food or something...

How old and for what reason? My kids have different bed times in the winter vs the summer. It's also a car of know your child. If they don't do well if routine is off don't do it.

I no longer look askance at seeing small children out late. I always tried to have mine in bed no later than 8:00 pm (for my own sanity), but we moved to South Florida, and saw a completely different viewpoint. It was commonplace for people to take their kids out to eat at 9:00. As long as the kids get enough sleep, it really doesn't matter until they have to attend school.
