Should we be worried that my son is worried about a keylogger? (smart, normal)

My son and I sometimes use the same pc. I was typing "how do i know" into google & it suggested the recent search done by him: "how do i know if there is a keylogger on my pc".
He is 15 and has been a good kid but this made me nervous.
And BTW, no, I haven't put a keylogger on his PC.
Do you think my wife and I should be worried? What to do? (I haven't told her yet since she is a huge worrier!)
Thanks,
Laz
Your son is watching porn on the computer do doubt. So it wouldnt be unusual for him to worry about parents finding out.
What is the big deal ? The kid just wants to know if everything he does is being monitored by you, that is absolutely normal. Face it Dad, your kid watches porn and that is simply part of being a curious young person. It ain't the end of the world, and contrary to the old adage, he will NOT go blind from playing with himself ! (although his vision may degrade slightly)
Would be better to check the URL list in the Router then a keylogger. Will pick up the WiFi connected devices also.
At 15, You are sort of past the Net Nanny type software. You need to trust him, Talk to him.
Logger/Monitoring software will only work if he let you Monitor him. He will move his activity to his phone/tablet and run off a near by friends WiFi Signal.

How do you check the URL list in your router?
We are having issues with one of our sons and I'd like to have some hard evidence to use in our conversation.
Not even the best-behaved kids in the world want their parents knowing what they research on the internet, no matter how harmless.
But it could have been nothing your kid did - I get crazy suggestions from Google's autofill all the time, and I'm the only person using my computer.
And the best behaved adults in the world aren't anxious for their significant other to know everything as well. Really wouldn't want my spouse peeking in on my medical searches about illnesses, urinary Incontinence, yeast infections or whatever might be on my mind.

Depends on the router, But More or less:
You login to the router thru the browser, Hopefully you have changed from default password.
There should be a tab that will show the history.
It will show you each URL, and the IP address, and time (The device that connected to it)
Some Router give you the option of having the list Email to you (Hourly/Daily/Weekly)
[A different tab show you the IP to MAC address the network card in the device, and normally some sort of name/device that is humanly knowable]
I would skip the "Proof" and just have a talk with him,
If know you are looking at the history, he will change his usage to where you can not monitor it.
It was a joke... You don't need to have a keylogger to see what someone is doing online. Check the history. If your son was smart he would use the "private browsing" feature so there would not be any history to see. However, if that is something he searched then he didn't use private browsing or it wouldn't show up. Therefore, you should be able to see it in history unless he cleared it. Even if he cleared it, your computer stores the information. There are cookies. Porn sites have very interesting cookie titles. Also looking at temp files will tell you.
Your son may have heard of keyloggers as a tool in computer hacking/viruses and so would have nothing to do with hiding anything. If he is interested in computers and technology, I would think this is the more likely reason.
