I think the owner needed to count to ten before yelling at the child.
I also think the parents were disrespectful to other patrons by not doing something (like feeding her)to calm the child down
I had 4 kids all within or less than a year apart. Eating out was a rare treat for us, but if I wasn't able to calm one or more who were making too much noise we simply asked for doggie bags and loaded them up along with the kids, and apologized if necessary to anyone sitting close by who seemed annoyed.
No one wants to pay to eat with a screaming child, whether they have kids or not. In one article the mother said her child was crying for about 10 mins...that's 9 mins 56 seconds too long for me and I have kids. The 4 seconds is how long it would take to get the child out of the high chair and out of the restaurant. As a parent I would be so embarrassed, instead these two winners are blasting it on social media and the news expecting sympathy.
I don't condone yelling at the kid, but I see nothing wrong with a flat "It's time to go" to her parents after she started up again. When they are that small, it's easy to scoop them up and take them outside. I know little children can be fussy but when parents are oblivious it's irritating.
Wait....since when does it take 45 minutes to make 3 pancakes?
I know, I feel like the times may have been exaggerated. Two minutes can feel like 10. Later in the story, it sounds like the parents had the pancakes but refused to give them to their daughter. I don't know, I stopped reading. I feel for the other patrons.
I agree, I would have yelled at the parents, not the child.
I think she was just so frustrated with the parents after giving them hints to leave that she just snapped. I don't agree with her yelling at the kid but it seemed at that point, she just wanted that kid to shut it. What I don't understand is why they sat there all that time with uneaten food in front of them. If I'm not mistaken, I thought it said that they brought boxes over for the 3 full size pancakes (who orders 3 full size pancakes for a toddler anyway??) and the uneaten omelets. They sat there for 40 minutes without eating?
These pancakes are humongous, and are stuffed with fruit. It was a very busy Saturday morning, with 75 seats.
I didn't see where it says that it takes 45 minutes to make them. I saw that the people sat there for 40 minutes with a wailing kid and the pancakes were in the middle of the table.

I'm confused. Am I reading a different article? Where did it say 3 humongous pancakes stuffed with fruit? It just says they ordered 3 pancakes.
