The trip is in August.

OP, the first time we went to Disneyworld, my kids were four and six. We were very worried about how that was going to go, because any trip to the mall or hike through the woods would result in both of them saying how tired they were, with both of us grabbing one and carrying them.

Not once, did either child ever say they were tired. WE were tired long before they showed any signs of slowing down. My late wife and I used to laugh and say, "Yeah, they last fifteen minutes at the mall and nine hours at Disneyworld!"

If they get tired, there are carts all over the parks selling food and drink, with benches all over the place, so as others have suggested, take a fifteen minute break and know your kids will be ready to go before you will be.

Have fun!

I know you already bought something, but just another thought...

A friend borrowed our bike trailer/stroller one year for a trip when her son had a broken leg. Most bike trailers go up to 100 lbs at least (ours went up to 150, IIRC). I forget how old he was, but he was probably between 5 - 7 years old and big for his age (not overweight).

I would not recommend buying one, unless you can get a reasonably-priced used one.

Don't feel bad about wanting to use a stroller OP. My DD is extremely active and fit and I would have loved to use a stroller when she was five and we went to WDW. She was too tall at the time. She was already doing volcano hikes and zip lines, as well as sports camps...however walking and waiting in line in the heat is tiring. We had a great time and just took breaks, but she would have liked to have a rest and a seat for the parades. Heck, I wanted a ride in a stroller sometimes...LOL. It's a lot of walking. WDW allows you to bring in food and water from outside of the park, if that's the pa k you are going to. The stroller lets you store it there. Tie a ribbon or something unique to your stroller, as they get moved around.
