Not just me.

All anyone knows is you have some vague concern about adequate supervision. Ok. You've been asked the age of the child and what the actual supervision situation is. No response.. It's been suggested you could go along as a chaperone. No response. That if you have concerns about the bus, you could drive. No response. Asked what causes you to have concerns about supervision - any history with the school not adequately supervising in other situation? No answer.

What do you hope to gain without providing people enough information to give fully thought out answers?

Yeah, that's another way of saying "You're an idiot." But I'm in agreement that you can't expect to get more satisfying responses without sharing more information about the actual situation.

No one can answer to even give an informed opinion in a vacuum

Are they flying? I remember an elementary field trip to the state capital, it was about $200 because they flew up and back the same day. On that one, several students didn't go because of the expense.

One reason for seatbelts is to keep you from flying into the windshield. Buses have high backed cushioned seats to keep kids contained in case of an accident. They're no more dangerous then riding in a car, and are actually considered safer then cars.

I don't have a case. My child isn't going on a field trip. This was posed as a general question. But, nice try though. I'm counting several posts you've made on this thread so it must be of interest to you.

Okay, well then, my answer is, I can't answer.

There are far too many variables to give a meaningful answer.

You certainly worded it like you had something specific in mind you were considering.

For a general question, I probably would've asked "Are there any field trips you won't allow your child to go on?" Most of us gave those sorts of answers to try to help. Oh well.
