Ever see the movie "The Story of PI"? His parents gave him an awful name and after enough teasing in school, he came up with a plan to be called PI....

At least "Abcde" was short.

She's quite the drama queen isn't she.

Was she throwing HERSELF a baby shower? Usually, a friend or family members throw a shower.

And it seems like, to me, that she's just cutting her nose off to spite her face. Hope she has all her essentials. lol

Maybe she's just a fan of YES, Skid Rowe, and ... I dunno, politics?

The show The Wire had an element of this. There was a character, a school boy and the butt of many jokes, who was called "D00ky" by all of his friends. You didn't find out until late in the season that his real first name was Duke.

I find people are naming their kids with very strange names, or using fairly common names with ridiculous spelling (JUST to be different).

All I can think of are the teachers that have to learn these names, and how the kid will have to SPELL out his/her name for the rest of his/her life.

I have a foreign last name and I have to spell it out EVERY time. It gets on my nerves but I can't imagine having a weird first name also.

There were times when I was calling role for the first class of the year I'd just stop and ask the kid how to pronounce his/her name.

For a couple I listed the phrase, "You're ****ting me" slipped out aloud.

Once that baby gets to toddler stage and beyond and starts getting into mischief she will shorten that name. Shouting "Squire Sebastian Senator- Middle name -Last name" would get old quick.
