My college wasn't terribly far from my parents, so I was at the house once or twice a month all through school. When I was 23 I went abroad for about 9 months, which is the longest time I've gone without visiting home. Even while I was gone, my dad came to see me, so I guess I've never even gone 6 months without seeing my father
I don't work in the summer and neither does my mom, so until I got married at 27, I used to go stay at their place for a couple of months during summer vacation because I'd get bored.
