An Orem boy suffered severe burns to his head and arms after he and a group of friends were playing with toilet paper and fire.
It all began as innocent fun Monday afternoon at the Geneva Park in Orem. Six boys ranging in age from 9 to 11 were playing with a roll of toilet paper. One boy suggested they wrapped him like a mummy to a pole in a covered picnic area, according to police.
John - this is so sad. I have an 11 year old boy and I can assure you that this is not something he would have done. He knew how dangerous fire was since at least he was 3. What is wrong with kids nowadays?
these stories make me want to keep my son locked in the house until he is 30. what in the name of all that is holy has happened to people/children???!!!!
at what point in our recent history did we make the wrong turn to churn out one misfit after another and how do we go back?
parents...too busy at work, not willing to sacrifice for their kids, entrusting someone they barely know to spend the majority of the day with their kids, sometimes as early as 6 weeks old. Yes, they may have been stricter 40 yrs ago or spanked more, whatever, they were just around more.
