BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Children, parents and teachers protested Friday in front of a northwest Bakersfield church and school over allegations a teacher there has been using corporal punishment.

The crowd grew Friday morning as more and more gathered in front of the church. Children held signs saying “zero tolerance for spanking” and “don't take your frustrations out on me.”

If the daycares own teachers are quiting and being fired for speaking out against it, it's most likely true. This is why I will never enroll my kids in a church daycare, they do not have to abide by the same rules as normal daycares. And then they said it did its own investigation and found no wrongdoing. Maybe part of the world missed all the stuff about priests molesting kids and then just being transferred, churches will cover it up so they don't lose any weekly donations. They are no better than any other business that is profit driven. They just do it in th ename of god.

I don't think it requires a protest though, if you don't like, get your kid out of there and send them to a different daycare.
