You'll find cheese steaks, and scrapple and a host of other PA Dutch and central PA cuisine and tasty treats, home baked goods and great farm markets, Roots in Manheim and then especially in the eastern Lancaster area. You might want to try Craig's List for apartments or room rentals, the Harrisburg Pike area is also popular for Franklin/Marshall students. Also check out areas along Manheim Pike, East Petersburg and Rohrerstown Road. All within a short distance of the PC Mall.

I like Nino's in Lititz for pizza and steaks and The Family Cupboard in Lititz and on Route 340 for the better food. I also like V&S sandwich shoppes (Fruitville Pike) and I heard they use Amoroso rolls so they are as close to Philly sandwiches as you can find out here. Good luck and welcome.
