Wondering how often does Lancaster Pa reassess property taxes?
Also do they automatically re-asses after you purchase a home?
I am looking to hear from people who have been re-assesed and how
much in general does school taxes go up every year? Please help!!!

nymover - I can't speak for the Lancaster area specifically. I own property in York.

It has been my experience that a new purchase may be reassessed. Also, I haven't seen a mass reassessment in years. It is usually done by the local municipality or the county.

That being said, the school districts normally increase their millage rates quite often. Your house may not be reassessed, but your school taxes will increase depending on how much the district increases millage. These rates vary from district to district.

PA doesn't not have county-wide districts. For example, there is (I think) eight districts in York County. Each one taxes their residents at a different rate.

You may also find that the assessed rate is not the selling price of the property.

Sorry I'm not able to give you more specific info. Hopefully, someone from the Lancaster will respond to your questions.
