I'm on other boards where the trolling is insane. And mods can't keep up with it... deleting posts and banning.

There's always been intensity on the internet(boy, I got involved in some spectacular flame wars) but it was different years ago. Lots of fun and collegiality where you could actually form some relationships with some people. I met my best friend online 20+ years ago. I would never do anything like that now.

You - Philly

Me - Pittsburgh

Who makes it the farthest in Amazon consideration.

There may be dark horses in this race that few are talking about like St Louis or Baltimore. I mean did anyone, even people whose careers are built on trends and economic speculation, see the Whole Foods buy coming?

I am just speculating here, but what if Amazon really wanted to eventually consolidate into one North American HQ, and that was the real reason for the search. Why would they panic everyone in Seattle, and say they wanted to relo the HQ? In that case Denver would be the logical choice. This may be their hidden agenda. Those sneaky corporate weasels! Then again, I could be TOTALLY wrong!

Let me be clear, I never said that Pittsburgh WOULD WIN IT ... My Claim is that Pittsburgh will make it further than Philly in considerations. If any city in Pennsylvania were to win it, it would be Pittsburgh.

That's my claim.

I have to respond, but lets say in some wild unheard of scenario Philadelphia actually got the HQ.

What would you come on here to say? Congrats? Or somehow spin it to trash a fellow city in Pennsylvania?

I would be thrilled if Pittsburgh or Philadelphia won the HQ, because it would be a win for the state!

I think it would make you angry to see Philadelphia win, I actually think you want every other city in the country to get it over Philadelphia. I really don't understand where the anger and hatred comes from.

Boosting is Boosting, and being Cocky about it is being Cocky. I have no other words. Btw RightOnWalnut admitted himself that he is a Philadelphia Booster, so I'm not misusing the term.

I love how the Philly boosters get to **** Pittsburgh all day long in this thread as if it stands no chance whatsoever in face of Philadelphia traits. Yet Pittsburgh is not allowed to do some boosting of its own, except to defend itself against Philly attacks. Sorry I'm sick of it.

If RightonWalnut can be a flaming Philly Booster, well Pittsburgh deserves to have one of its own in this debate.

I make NO apologizes, Sorry!
That's all well and good (though you definitely compared some city's mode of public transportation to a concentration camp--maybe it was The NYC subway), but if you don't understand that I LOVE Pittsburgh, then your reading comprehension skills need checked, 'n at.

I'm heading to PGH at the end of this month, in fact, and I'm pleased as punch that I'll probably now be able to get there once a calendar quarter.

Like wise, I don't understand where the hate, marginalizing, and degrading of Pittsburgh that comes from Philly Boosters, like Pittsburgh doesn't compete at all. When ALL evidence says Pittsburgh has just as good if not better chance of landing Amazon.

I don't hate Philly. I hate the Cocky Philly Booster (We're better than you) mentality that radiates throughout this forum. When most Philly boosters don't even understand really what's even going on here ....

I know it will **** off the Philly boosters (some will even consider it an illegitimate win) if Pittsburgh makes it further than Philadelphia. They wont give Pittsburgh its credit for being the better city, it will be some type of conspiracy against Philadelphia, that Pittsburgh won. Philadelphia is a very bitter, jaded, and envious city, they still try to think of Pittsburgh as being a dying backwater rust-belt hellscape.
