Moving to Gulf Breeze , Fl (Pensacola: low crime, houses, neighborhoods)

Hi we are thinking about moving to Gulf Breeze FL. I have a couple of questions. I know most people say Gulf Breeze Proper is the place we want to live, but we have a limited budget and I am not finding any houses in that area in our budget. Is the rest of Gulf Breeze outside of Proper nice and family friendly as well? Low crime? I am looking for a good homeschool community and a good church for our family. Any areas outside of Proper you can recommend? Our budget is under 200k. Thanks!

There are lots of areas outside of Gulf Breeze Proper that are very nice and in your price range. Do a search on PensacolaMLS.com and put in 32563 as the zip code and $200K max budget and you will see plenty of nice houses in nice subdivisions. I used 3 bedroom/2 bath in the search and none of the houses that popped up are in bad neighborhoods. For crime statistics, contact the Sheriff's Office. The local office for the unincorporated part of Gulf Breeze (known locally as "down the highway") is in the fire department located on Oriole Beach Road.

There are tons of churches of all types so that should not be a problem. Most families move to Gulf Breeze to take advantage of the good schools so I really don't know anything about homeschooling there.
