I was told that this condo had multiple offers and probably sold over asking, so our market is definitely still active.

I decided to close out my HELC. In December when I turn 66, I will file for my Social Security which will increase my income to qualify for a mortgage. Once I have the loan, I can pay back my benefits and wait until 70, but at least I can qualify for the loan.

soooooo my brother has been having a great year in the market which is probably helping to motivate him to pull money out of his home for more investing cash. he told me i could get money at a 2.85. the limit for a high value conforming loan where i live is $765,600, so lets assume i can get that. if i were to do it, i would just take the cash and put it into ITOT. i presently have you mortgage on the house. so, should i do it?

The listing price was $640,000 and the sale price was $610,000. Not over listing but at a discount and they were soliciting back up offers. Looks like it had been a rental for a number of years.

Now those condos are selling in the $800,000 range. I am going to wait until the spring/summer market and hope there are more listings. That will slow this market down.
