I knew I saw something about this a while back:

Stimulus was getting priority apparently.

Honestly, don't care so much when it comes as long as it comes. In 2018 they lost our e-filed return and made us send a paper one in the mail, claimed to not get that one too (even though we had record of someone signing for it) and took about 8 months and help from a state senator's office to get our refund.

Starting to think someone in the IRS has a grudge
Just an update, refund hit the bank account today.

Just hang in there.

My refund took one week from e-filing to direct deposit.

Weirdly, filed mine in March and they rapidly accepted, and just as rapidly issued my refund. Couple week period. Had a lot of medical deductions in 2020 so it was a tolerable chunk of dough refunded. Could have just been luck, or that my returns have been pretty boring and consistent for ....my entire working life.... and I don't usually make mistakes that they catch (they have a couple times for legitimate clerical errors I've made, though).

So either I'm a swell guy and they rushed my refund right along, or more-likely just a bit lucky this year.
