Keep it up, Suzie.

This is exactly how the government and the finance industry wants you to think. They want you to feel completely obligated to pay off your loans. Welcome to debt peonage, and thank you for your service.

Why don't you just pay cash then? If everyone did then just maybe the store would lower their prices the amount they have to pay the CC companies every time you use your card and maybe I wouldn't have to pay that extra 3 to 4% just because you choose to use them. And yes I do pay cash for everything I buy.

That's so nice of the bank to give back to you 2% of your money that the store charges you to use the card in their store.

Next thing you know they will be sending you a Christmas Card.

So you buy things and then you do not pay for them. Who pays for them then? It costs money to make them.

I do not know what debt peonage is. I only have 2 loans. Car and mortgage. I bought a car that I drive I am paying for it. I also bought a house where I live that I am also paying for. If I do not pay this loans I would loose my car and my home. Why would I want to do that? I do not like being a renter.

If spend $100 in a store it costs me $100 regardless of how I pay. So if I use a cc I get a 2% discount. Yes the stores pass their fee on to consumers but they pass them to all equally. So unless the cc system changes or disappears I will continue using them.

The problem is even those of us that choose not use them have to pay so YOU can. I'd rather save that $4.00 per $100.00 I spend. It's like paying
a hidden tax.

Before stores had to deal with bad debt due to bad checks. CC eliminated that problem for them. Even in a cash only system there is the overhead of collecting the cash and transferring it to the bank. Shoplifting also affects the price we pay for goods. It is all part of doing business.

I don't write bad checks and I don't steal and the store is responsible for any credit card they take, no lost to credit card company. I took them on my web site business because I had to and I added 4% to the products I sold and the cheapest thing I sold was $140.00 so you can figure what it would cost you.

I didn't say you did. I don't either but I pay for it. The store is responsible if they take bad credit cards but they don't loose anything if the customer doesn't pay their bill. What percent of your sales were not paid by cc? I do agree that 4% is a little steep for cc usage.

Gee what about the agreements and contracts you have signed with the institutions that loaned you money so you could buy a house, a car, and your stuff. Are you saying you didn't read a damn thing your signed, or are you saying that your word and your name are worthless?

One choice says you are stupid, the other says your word/good name is worthless.

Based on past behavior why would anyone expect a different outcome the next time you need credit?
