N.Y. rules being buried with pet is OK

HARTSDALE, N.Y., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- New York state's Cemetery Board has decided people can have their ashes buried in pet cemeteries alongside their non-human companions after all.

"I feel great," said Rhona Levy of New York City's Bronx borough, who wants to be buried with her dog and cats in Westchester's Hartsdale Pet Cemetery. "It was sort of like an early Christmas present."

I am going to have my pets buried with me.

All of my pets have been/will be cremated, as will I.

Then our ashes will be mixed together and buried in my cemetery plot, next to my Mom.

Totally legal here in Ohio.....I already asked a funeral director.

It is also legal to have their ashes or urns put into your casket with you.

It's hard to understand why it should be illegal anywhere. I'm sure most pet owners who have their pet's ashes would like to do this.
