pittsburgh-philly-ny hsr makes a ton of sense and would be hugely beneficial to both cities and the state.ny in 40, pittsburgh in two hours.

In all honesty for the investment to me no other linkage/region makes more sense than the Corrider for HSR
Yes that its a dream..40mins means No other Trains could use the Express Tracks and they would need to be upgraded..so that mean All Regional and Commuter trains would be forced onto the local..Imagine the conga line of Trains sitting in traffic, nothing would be on time......plus between Newark and Penn Station a dedicated ROW would need to be built right now the exsisting ROW has to share with Express, Local and Commuter to get into the Hudson river tunnel...if you take Amtrak during the AM Rush you should see the amount of Train traffic trying to get into Penn Station, any plans for HSR has to contend with that mess.

Yep I take the train into Manhattan at rush hour a few times a month, even now I can leave my house at 6:20 and be in Manhattan by 8, would love to be able to leave at 7 and still do the same
