Yeah, NYC, DC and LA seem to be the only cities that can get the funding required to build a real subway line. I'm ok with BRT though, as long as it's really BRT and not some glorified bus line. Given that this would have its own tunnel, it seems it would be the real thing. Although, it does seem unlikely that BRT will even happen...at least from this article.

I live in CC, but when we speak of people who are scared of the city they are generally NOT the people living in the city, hence the day trips. We have a nice regional rail system, so it is a shame that more people don't use it.

Going forward, I think the population will be too great in number that we will need to start switching people off of cars. The traffic in CC is already rather miserable and it frankly makes the bus system poor. An increase of cars into CC will only obviously make it worse. I really would like to see the city thinking about this problem in specific and addressing these issues NOW because the population increase is still coming and projected to be on the rise for some time now. The city has to be proactive.

Okay, but if Blatstein doesn't get the casino license for the Provence what will draw people to that property? Now there's this huge project.

Additionally I don't get the sense that his purchase of the State Bldg, and its conversion to the Tower, has been all that successful as a residence. Originally there was a proposal to add an additional tower and shopping to that complex at SE corner 15th and Spring Garden Sts. Right now there is zero physical evidence that that will ever happen.

I'm glad the Market 8 casino project wasn't chosen. I don't think Market East needs a casino. At least the new casino will complement Xfinity Live at the Sports complex.

I'm sure this new casino will certainly pave the way for more economic growth at the Sports complex.

Lets hope there won't be any more new casinos being in the Philadelphia-Atlantic City area. No need to try and compete against Las Vegas.

honestly I really think the area on 11th (I think) between CBP and the lot heading toward Broad could also have a street effect with some bars/restaurants etc. Maybe also along broad toward the subway. Honestly I could see some mid-rise apts there as well - sort of city/suburb alternative with good BSL access (parking and Navy yard access
