Considering that highways, railroads, transit systems are all racist, it's logical then that the list needs to be updated by adding ''bike paths'' to the mix.

Wonder if Ms. Claudia realizes though that Philly is now a large mix of asians and hispanics, especially along Washington Avenue...seems like Ms. Claudia needs to add a couple things to her mix...i guess, for starteres, asian and hispanic supremacy.
I am still confused as to why there is such fierce pushback (claiming racism & supremacy) from a small group of people, led by Claudia.

Isn't it in everyone's best interests to create a safe and inviting roadway, especially in a pedestrian oriented city?

1) it's called playing the race card.

2) when it's perceived to not be in certain interests...it's called playing the race card.

Despite liberals and progressives carrying, wearing, or putting BLM signs in their windows, it's all thrown under the bus, as needed.

No more apartments at the Divine Lorraine. Only hotel rooms going forward.

Well, mask mandate is back. Hopefully it doesn’t hurt businesses too badly.

So ridiculous.

I can't find any other cities or large municipalities with mask mandates, so Philadelphia is a complete outlier. Not a good look.

Only 46 in the hospital and we are going backwards?

Don't worry, I am sure that sitting maskless at a bar for a couple hours won't matter so long as I wear my mask from when I enter the door until I sit down.

I think it will if it delays office workers' return even further. What a joke.

This just makes me so angry. As I said before, I have been largely supportive of these safety measures throughout the whole pandemic but the facts on the ground have changed. We have vaccines now and the variants are not very serious for the vast majority of people any more. People will move out and businesses will close or not come here because of things like this.

To be fair, it's likely only a matter of time. This latest uptick has been building for a while, and I would expect at least a few other major cities to re-implement an indoor mandate (many set case/positivity metrics before their last mandates were lifted so that if certain COVID thresholds were hit yet again, the mandates would be re-imposed). It's just unusual to see Philadelphia to be the very first to act.

I'm one of the furthest people from a COVID-denier as well, and it is very annoying at this point--no question. But until we go, like, at least 6 months without reoccurrence of a new variant/subvariant, I fear we are in this holding pattern of on-again-off-again restrictions in the densest large cities.

Dems need all the help they can get in Pennsylvania, and stupid stuff like this is going to cost them one of the few seats they can win. I do not understand how Dems have not got the nationwide word out that they should not even be saying COVID at this point.
