My family is moving and we're looking at the Suburbs of Philadelphia. I am eighteen and currently attend Princeton University and my family moved to Princeton, NJ to be close to me also they moved because we are Asian and there are a lot of Asians in the area and it is safe. We have lived in San Francisco, Fairfax, VA, and most recently Queens, NY and all are diverse but are areas like Bensalem, Langhorne, and Newtown diverse or are they all white. Is it affordable and safe?

There are larger asian populations to the west in montgomery county. places like upper dublin, ambler, north wales, lansdale, etc. As a whole, bucks county is not very diverse, however areas like Newtown, Langhorn, and Yardley are relatively affluent so i don't think that racism would be an issue. another good option may be cherry hill, nj. i believe there is a large asian population there and it is a nice area.

Stay out of Bristol Boro, Bristol Township and also Bensalem. Actually Bensalem is very diverse, everything from resturant workers to Macmansions but also segregated by class and race. As angus 215 said, the more affluent towns will welcome you. Even Middletown and Langhorn will be ok and also upper and lower Makefield including Newtown and Yardley are fine.

delco has a more diverse population. Radnor has a large asian population. And the media/garnet valley area have become much more diverse with a growing asian and indian populous.

In the Newtown area, there aren't many minorities, but most of the minorities are Asian.

How's the weather up there in nice and fluffy Media? Any Asians? Any Indians? Oh no, they're mostly in Radnor.....Really?

Hey JSUPAK, I've lived in HI and Radnor for many years and find that if you listen to people who just happen to know where those Asians and Indians are "growing in populous", that smells ever-so-slightly racist in itself because that's their focus -Knowing where the Asians are going. In actuality, the link will show you that the percentage is rather slight in respect to Caucasians.

My suggestion is move to a good area with relatively low crime and high education attainment in any decent metropolis and you should not encounter racism unless of course it's a town that's already been dubbed "becoming Asian/Indian" because it's now your ethnic group who are the one's that are "moving in" which is a Phlly region faux pas.

You and All law abiding citizens have the right to live in happiness and with civil respect. Don't live with the Fear of moving somewhere. You'll sense if you're not welcomed just by spending just a few days/weekends around and about. That is something I would look at carefully. Thank you Kelb! Kelb's answer of inviting you to move to Yardley is best because he/she addresses the human aspect of happiness and friendliness.
I would consider Yardley after reading that! Good Luck in your search and Put out your Intention for what you Desire. It will arrive!

what the hell is your problem. Implying that i am a racist? really, your making statements more immature than kids in high school. I am not a racist, and i have lived in media/upper providence for years, and enjoy the diversity of the area. I dont know how bucks county is more diverse than delaware county, and all i was doing was making a suggestion for a safe family oriented community with top schools, that would suite what they were asking for.

I know ive called you out on other threads, but cool it with the high school comments, im not going out of my way to make you look bad.
