I was looking up some rentals, and came across some nice, affordable homes for rent in Oxford, PA. I have a 1, 3, and 19 yr old. Mostly concerned with the 3 yr old because he has special needs. Thoughts on the area? Good schools? Safe? Things to do? Thanks.

Rural and a bit isolated from my experiences.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful area though if that is what you are looking for.

You may be better off posting this quesion in the Pennsylvania forum as Oxford is on the fringes of the Philly area.

It is a fairly isolated town in Chester County near the Maryland border that smells like potato chips. Herrs factories are there. Other than that I know very little about it.

Oxford is still pretty rural, its quickly developing though, tons of subdivisions built on previous farmland.

Oxford for special needs? No. You want Downingtown or Octorara. Stay away from West Chester.
