Hello all,
I am looking for a townhome rental. Our lease at our current apartment is up in March so I am starting to look around now for a new place for us to rent. We think a town home rental may suit us best. If anyone knows of any rental townhomes in these areas (Hatboro, Horsham, Huntingdon Valley, Warminster, Warrington) and can provide info about them, I would greatly appreciate it.

We are currently living in NE Philadelphia. I know there are some townhomes that don't actively advertise, so I am having trouble actually researching places on the internet. We are mainly looking for a 2 bedroom townhome rental, price range $800-1000/month. Although we would like to aim for around $950/month. Ideally, it would be a townhome where you have the 1st floor and 2nd floor. A patio/yard area would be nice as well. We are mainly looking for a peaceful, quiet rental community.

Like I said we are looking to get out of the city right now, so the areas we are interested in are: Hatboro, Horsham, Warminster, Warrington, and Huntingdon Valley. I've also seen townhomes on Welsh Rd at Station Avenue before you get to Huntingdon Pike but I forget what they are called. If anyone has any information about them, that would be great. Any and all info will be helpful!

Thanks!

There is a rental community in Dresher Rd in Horsham called Dreshertowne Townhomes. Don't know much about it, but it is in a good location. Another rental townhome community further north in Horsham is English Village, which is on Lower St Rd, just east of Rt 309. Looks a little dated, but again i don't have any first hand experience. Another place a little west in Blue Bell is Townline Townhomes, which i looked into once for short-term housing and it was pretty expensive. Otherwise, check out Craigslist for individual owners renting their townhomes.

When i first moved to the area, i planned on intially renting a townhome, but eventually gave up and bought a house because there wasn't a whole lot of selection.

Your situation sounds exactly like mine, and exactly like what we are looking for, and in the same areas. We're moving next month and I think your barrier will be the price. Places at $1000 or less exist (we're looking in that price range also), but as you mention, they are hard to find, and are a mixed bag. We havent yet found something that has all of what you describe in that price. We've gotten in touch with a realtor who is willing to build a relationship with us and hopefully that will yield more results, so I'd suggest trying to do the same once you are closer to moving. It might be hard to find specific places so far in advance of your move date, but keep an eye out so your know prices for a particular area.

Nikmasteed, I think at this point maybe a realtor is the best place to go. I looked at some rentals on Prudential Fox & Roach's website and there are some townhomes that aren't bad on there for rent. About $900-950/month, about 900 sq feet I believe, washer/dryer in unit. They look pretty nice. Maybe that would work for you, too. I am hoping something like these ones are available when it is closer for us to move. I think one of the townhomes is in a community called Warrington Mews. Looks really nice. Well, if you find anything out, let me know!

Apartment complex living is just horrible at this point and I am hoping a townhome type of deal is better. We really don't want neighbors living above or below us. We've had such problems where we are at now. We both have hard/stressful jobs, we work hard and are exhausted when we come home and all we come home to is music/TV's blaring/yelling/partying. People blare their TV's above us and next to us all night long. It's just intolerable. It's mainly the people above and below us that are the most noisy. We just need to get out. Good luck and let me know if you hear of any nice townhome communities!
