This is a really good video. I have never been to Philadelphia but I love the Philadelphia skyline.

Interesting, I'd never seen the video to that song before.

You should come for a visit. The city is a vibrant as ever, lots to do.

Where are you from?

Maybe a total of 5 seconds of Philly skyline, and done with a style that doesn't give you a chance to admire the view. 5 seconds out of over 4 minutes? Please ...

Philly is not as nice (generally) as that vid depicts.. Been here off and on for 50 years. There are a few nice areas but its not ALL like that.. Trust me.. If you don't believe me check out the crime thread..

From my own cursory glance at the crime thread, most of the neighborhoods that are involved are not where forum users are likely to move. There are numerous neighborhoods throughout the city - many of them in or adjacent to the aforementioned Center City skyline - that people of various interests and tastes would find appealing.

Demps: I too would encourage you to come check out the city. Your fellow forum members will be happy to help you find what you're looking for.

After actually seeing the video, one would have to assume it was shot in and around Philadelphia. The suburban or park areas don't look so familiar to me. Perhaps a good minute of it showed city neighborhoods. It wasn't all "pretty" but then, for some people, Philly's grittiness is part of its charm.

I think who ever made that video is very talented. I am not understanding the criticisms. I particularly like the effect of bouncing up in the air like a ball and I am wondering how that was done. As for the subject, It could have been done to represent any city but this one is obviously all Philly including the 1st scene which is typical of current development patterns in many Philly exurbs.
