OK,

So we moving to PA from Delaware for the school system. I need brutal, pull no punches honest feedback about the two districts. Some of the houses in Landenberg are in the Kennett district, and some are in the Avon Grove district which we have no problem going with (it's actually our school of choice). Now, we have also looked at houses in Kennett which we like, but are on the fence with the school district. If I am going to invest my money into a house and the taxes for the schools that come with moving to PA, I want to make the best decision in my child's interest and future.

Feel free to direct message me as well if something is not "forum appropriate". Thanks everyone.

What is your budget?

Kennett area is okay, getting better, used to be very rural and tired, but the new subdivisions and recent investment in the old downtown are giving the area bright future.

If you have money to spend, I would opt for West Chester, Chadds Ford or Glen Mills area.

Avon Grove is a lot better than Kennett.

Not everyone knows what "UCFSD" stands for, especially someone who doesn't live in Chester County. Heck, I live in the 'burbs, and it wasn't readily apparent to me.

For the OP: "UCFSD" stands for Unionville-Chadds Ford School District.
